Josh fell in love with gravel riding thanks to his previous Salsa Cutthroat, which introduced him to the fun to be had offroad. Though that bike was capable, Josh felt it was time to update and upgrade to net bigger smiles and faster times. We built this Flaanimal 5.0 with a Sram Rival 1X group, DT Swiss 350 Hubs laced to Hed Belgium G rims and a full compliment of Redshift touchpoints.
First impression: “Dude, what a bike!!!!”
Calvin has been riding further and further and his legs have been growing longer and longer. To get him on a bike that will fit now and later, and cut him loose to ride as far as he wants and on any type of terrain, a flat bar Flaanimal 5.0 seemed like a perfect fit. Outfitted with Sram Rival, and some Continental GP Urban’s for urban speed, Calvin was all smiles.
